a day of london which mostly consisted of different forms of transport. to canada water on the train and underground to buy waterproof jackets, to the docklands to eat noodles with the city bankers, on the dlr to a rain-sodden greenwich so no chance of a nostalgia trip for me.

so we decided to jump on a tourist boat in the pouring rain. no sooner had we set off than the sun broke through the clouds and we mucked about on the empty upper deck.

a conversation with the skipper's mate about thunderbirds gave me the chance to ask if we could see the wheel....which led to carpetbiter2 getting a shot. he didn't quite steer us under the bridge but close enough. he is now going to be a boat driver when he grows up
