In the Afternoon Sun
20.6C starting cloudy then clearing in the afternoon to unbroken sunshine.
Light breeze.
Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk before lunch today in case it got too hot in the afternoon. The watering equipment which has been in use in the field with the bridle path was sitting at the North end of the field. It looks ready to be moved to another field.
Down at the beach the tide was very low and all the boats were sitting on the sand. There were five boats today. Not a soul on the beach though.
This afternoon I mowed the front lawn. Maeve stayed inside in the shade. The back door has been open all day but she hasn't gone out into the garden at all. Sleepy.
Just after five o'clock I decided that the light was just right to get a shot of the three trees with the afternoon sun low enough to light the leaves from the side. I left Maeve in the house and wandered up to the corner of the road and then followed the tractor marks through the crop to a point halfway across the field to get this shot.
