Sea Glass

22.0C with lots of sunny sunshine. Light to moderate breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound went out into her garden just after 8am. She spent most of the morning in her favourite dappled shady corner enjoying the breeze and the warmth.

Maeve and I went for our walk after lunch. It wasn't humid today and there was a good breeze. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. We came back along the cycle path and went down to the beach at Westhaven via the level crossing. Shamara II was working its way along the shoreline, seaward of the rocks.

Down on the beach the tide was coming in. Valhalla A and a smaller boat were moored in the shallows. There were quite a lot of people on the beach. Maeve went into the sea and paddled along as I walked slowly along the edge of the water. She came out to meet a nice little dog, and I chatted to the owner for a few minutes. Maeve went back into the sea and stood in the shallows to cool down as we chatted. The little dog didn't go into the sea. I found two pieces of Sea Glass today with good strong colour.

We came up off the beach at the fishermen's huts where there were two men working on a small boat and two men admiring a new front on one of the huts (it needs painting!). We came along East Row and over the road bridge over the railway then carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home. Maeve had a good drink of freshly drawn water then went back out into the garden. Later Maeve moved to a very shady spot on lawn one beside a little weeping willow. Clever  !
