Then the Sun Came Back

21.4C with thin cloud breaking in the afternoon to glorious bright blue sky.

Just a little watering for the greenhouse this morning. The garden had been watered well by yesterday's rain. In the greenhouse I tied the tall tomato plants in. Each has a cane for support. There were more Dwarf French Beans to harvest (none outside yet, although we have flowers).

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch. There was thin cloud and a light breeze kept us cool. I could see the potato watering equipment spraying in the field next to the bridle path. As we walked along the beach I noticed the cloud was clearing away out to sea and then the sun came back. It became very warm.

Along near the car park at Westhaven a little white rowing boat had been pulled up the beach and was lying on the soft dry sand. Hanging from a thin blue rope from the rowlock on the inside of the hull this little piece of wood caught my attention. Bright !

Maeve had much freshly drawn water on her return home and is lying in a cool place.
