Reflections on a river
On my way home from Edinburgh today I stopped in Glen Dochart, which runs from east of Crianlarich to Killin. I love this glen, though it's a very shallow one, more of a strath really. The river is the main attraction, meandering gently through the fairly level terrain. I didn't do my usual, which is to take the only side road which crosses the River Dochart to Auchlyne, but stopped in a layby a little further to the west and climbed the fence. The river is only a short one, but quite wide and fast-flowing. I took several pictures which show a soft landscape with a blue sky and white clouds above rounded hills. However I have used a picture I took of flying oystercatchers - not a great shot as they were flying fast and I used 270mm telephoto and then cropped it, but I liked it! I'll take a scenic Blip there another time!
