Hydrangea

Many of us remember hydrangeas from our childhood. I certainly do. I always loved their colorful and large blooms. As a child I remember putting a couple of blooms together and pretending it was a wedding bouquet.
Now I have a renewed love of these beautiful flowers and I have several different types in my gardens. This past winter was hard on the hydrangea plants and they needed to be cut back quite a bit. Still, they are resilient and just when you think you aren’t going to get a flower…you do! There won’t be as many blooms this year but I still think there will be a few.
Today, tomorrow and Wednesday is going to give us a taste of summer with the weather. Once thing I know about hydrangea plants is that they don’t like the full sun beating on them without being watered. So I know I’ll be doing some watering the next few days.
