Boat ride

Today my son took my husband and I on a boat ride to celebrate Father's Day. It was a lively ride for sure. I got a face full of water while sitting in the back of the boat as we hit wake from another boat. My husband's hat went flying off from the strong breeze as we went faster. My grandson happen to be looking at my husband when it happened and he couldn't stop laughing. My son circled around with the boat and we were actually able to retrieve the hat from the water.

We went out to the bay and turned off the motor so we could all have a little lunch. It was a little choppy and so the boat was rocking a bit. I'm happy to say nobody seemed to get bothered by the rocking and we finished our lunch and then went on to explore some more.
We ended up going all the way to the Verrazano Bridge where I took this photo from the from of the boat looking towards the bridge and Manhattan. I only had my iPhone on the boat and standing up to take this picture was challenging.

The ride back was nice. I could tell my husband enjoyed it and so I was glad we went. When we got back home my other two children joined us for dinner and so my husband had a nice Father's Day.
