An alternative Buzzard
I am moving on from butterflies where my expertise is minimal and back on to birds where hopefully I know a bit more. This bird was out the back of the house this afternoon.
Quite different in reality but you do need to get your eye in. It is in fact a Honey Buzzard - at least I think so - which is relatively rare in England.
Their main food, as you might expect form their name, is bees and wasps and their nests. It sadly has arrived one day too late to help sort out our bee problem!
