Pole Hill VOR

Not a UFO - but (to give it its full title) Pole Hill D-VOR DME air traffic navigation beacon.
It's located on the moors between Burnley and Hebden Bridge at just under 1,500 ft above sea level.
I understand this is a very busy and important beacon. Most flights from Heathrow to USA fly over it, as do many flights from Northern Europe.

I always knew Hebden Bridge was the Centre of the Universe :-)
