The Way Home
A great holiday in Kirkcudbright has unfortunately come to an end. The weather has been really exceptional - all sunshine and no rain.
We had a final stroll along the harbour-side before crossing this bridge and heading south.
The bridge was built in 1924. It is a 5-span, reinforced concrete, bowed-truss bridge and it spans the River Dee. The cast iron lights are from an earlier bridge which was built in 1868.
