St Jean Pied de Port

We have moved South into the Pyrenees - a stones throw from the Spanish border. We are staying at a lovely campsite near the small town of St Jean Pied de Port.

We cycled to the town where I took this picture of the cobbled street.

This area is in Basque country and has a very different feel to it. For one thing the drivers seem much less cycle friendly than we have experienced elsewhere in France. Maybe it’s just paranoia.

This campsite is just the sort of place we like. It’s quiet, family run with spotless facilities and stunning scenery. Oh yes, it also has free WiFi :-)

No thunderstorms yet this evening but it has gone more humid.
