High and dry

After amazing thunderstorms during the night today turned out to be a beautiful day and Jane and I cycled over to Biscarosse Lac along immaculate cycle paths through beautiful woodland.

I had spotted this buoy which had run aground on the beach by our campsite and wanted to take a sunset picture. After cloudless blue all day, the thunder clouds rolled in and gave absolutely spectacular skies. It was difficult to know which way to point the camera as every direction was different.

There was a German photographer there with the same idea. The sunset wasnt quite as spectacular as I had hoped but the clouds were amazing.

We then got caught in the middle of a major thunderstorm which was rather scary out on the beach. I tried to catch a lightning strike but failed.
