Bill is a.....

Blooming genius!!

Manual Setting Challenge: DAY:6

It's amazing what happens when you go for a walk around the neighbourhood. I had driven past this particular property and nearly fell out of the car when I saw the magnificent hibiscus growing in the front garden. I was so intrigued I convinced CCN that we should go for a walk and perhaps there would be a Blip in it!!

What a great decision that was. As we approached the property I could see a gentleman in the garden and I introduced myself. Well it turns out that Bill is absolutely passionate about his Hibiscus and believe me there are absolutely dozens of them in his garden. He was only too delighted for me to photograph them and in fact I've been back three times now.

This is Bill this morning with one of his stunning blooms - it's called Warwick Extravaganza! Bill is equipped with his trusty bucket and this travels with him in the morning so that he can de head the dead blooms. It's a moving feast as the flowers have a very short life span. I have to say that in the three visits so far the garden has changed every time. New blooms are constantly coming along.

While I'm staying in Bundaberg I'm going to try and photograph all of the varieties that Bill is growing.

We had a good natter this morning and he told me that he was a Builder before he retired. Hard when you've been so used to getting up early in the morning. What better to do than to develop a glorious garden. It's an absolute show piece. I've already added a couple of the blooms to a Blip Folio and over the next few days I hope to add a collection of these stunning blooms.
