Paradise Dam
Manual Setting Challenge: DAY:5
It was the day to launch ourselves into our "Professional Picnickers" mode. We went for a lovely drive out to Paradise Dam with CCN's Mum and Dad, Nettie and Doug. The Dam is about an hours drive south of Bundaberg.
We love moving into this modus operandi - as picnics are one of the most favourite things in the world in my humble opinion. We're pretty streamlined now and Doug and Nettie were astonished to see Table Cloth out, Thermoses at the ready, freshly made curried egg sandwiches, Wendy's Fruit Slice (That's Beckett's Wendy!!) out on the table, tea made in about 5 minutes flat. Beckett you must tell Wendy that her slice has been a "Smash Hit".
There's a great lookout at the Dam with state of the art covered picnic tables and I was also impressed with the camp site down at the water level. I have visions of returning and waking up at dawn to capture the bird life that we saw there today.
Sorry I can't show you a photo of the Dam, the sun was in the wrong spot!! But I did enjoy once again for better or worse, creating the image myself.
The Dam supplies water to the region and is the major reason farmers in the area have water to irrigate their crops.
