Lunch for a cold day
No snow here, except for the odd flake drifting past, but freezing cold in the north wind. When we went to the garden at 11.30 a.m. it was still minus 2! Too cold to stay out for long, so we only picked vegetables and covered our lemon tree to protect it.
This velouté (a thick purée-type soup) of mushrooms and squash was just the thing to warm us up when we got home. The recipe comes from one of my favourite food blogs - based in Athens and written in French.
