Saturday: Barbecue

We had some friends over for a barbecue this evening - it turned out very nicely (if a bit chilly) as everyone brought something and we ended up with a stash load of food.  

The good thing about a barbecue is that the menfolk are always more than willing to step up and take control - I don't think I have ever cooked on a barbecue in my life - despite having 'hosted' quite a few!  We also had a friend of a friend who came, Rene (not seen here).  Rene is a TV chef/food critic and was also more than happy to take over.  

Here we have Dirty Hands Christian - he is always a happy chap but he really can't stop beaming as he is going to be a first-time Dad in November.  And behind him is Danko, who is an artist.  He is always the life and soul of every party and always comes armed with an array of party tricks.  All in all, a very good evening but another backblip as it was after midnight when everyone started heading home........
