Californian sun.

I have been waiting for the sun to return to open these lovely Californian poppies.

They planted themselves in the little bed in the middle of the front lawn last summer and I'm delighted that they are back, currently with 4 blooms open.
There are some cream ones too in the border which I love, maybe a future blip, but you can't really beat the vibrancy of this colour in the sun.

I caught them early whilst they were open as it is clouding up a bit now. Hope it stays fine to for the couple getting married in the village this afternoon. Certainly looking better than the deluge last week's poor couple had!
