Conduit Walk.
That is what this Millennium Way circular walk is referred to but perhaps it should be called the Stile walk.
The stile seen here is typical of 18 in quick succession that go over high walls alongside the moorland water conduits above Oxenhope. Here you can see even that Buster is struggling never mind we four ladies!
The walk was good as,although a bit dull it was dry and quite warm. Having tackled the styles we followed a lane leading to the main road past the Wagon and Horses. This is the road that the Tour de France will follow and below it was this piece of field art. It took us a little while to figure out it was a ballet dancer! See LARGE
Back on to the moor and lots more conduits - amazing stone built structures from the Victorian age carrying moorland water to the reservoirs - along the path towards Leeming and then back down to the village of Oxenhope. 5 miles + and most enjoyable.
