On Coppice Pond

Instead of the morning walk around St Ives Estate this morning I decided to take a stroll around Coppice Pond later in the morning to see how the iris where coming on at the edge of the water.

Unfortunately it was still drizzly but there was lots of interest to brighten things up.
A few iris were in flower but there is more to come. The Rhododendron are looking there best and in places reflected in the water.

I saw the Greylag goose for the first time in a while and was pleased to see the six ducklings from a couple of weeks ago. These two ducks were new to me, more upright and with blue beaks. Will have to look them up.

After the walk we went into Lady B's for a coffee where it was nice and warm thankfully.
