Turkish salt bag
I left for work this morning at 7am and walked down the road to where we had parked the car guided only by moon and starlight. I am always grateful for the fact that our village has no street lights as we are able to see the stars on cloudless nights and occasionally the spectacular aurora borealis or 'northern lights', dancing in the night sky.
I returned home at 6pm again in darkness. No opportunity to take a Blip during my busy day so have resorted to another indoor shot.
This beautifully crafted Turkish salt bag was brought home a few years ago from one of our trips to the west coast of Turkey. We have fallen in love with everything about this area, the friendliness of its people, the landscape, the miles of soft sand, boat trips, walks...........we could go on and on.
We have booked to return again this year and can highly recommend the Kilim Hotel, Dalyan for the most amazing hoilday experience. Becky and Emrah put so much of their heart and soul into running this fab wee hotel.
In these dark, bitterly cold winter evenings, the sight of our salt bag on the wall reminds us of warmer days to come...........
