Basking in the sunshine

We are keen gardeners and grow a huge variety of fruit and veg during the summer months. Rabbits are not welcome visitors as they can devour our entire salad crop in one sitting.

However, seeing this rabbit today, I wondered what on earth it could find to sustain it through this really tough spell of weather. The entire landscape has been covered with a thick blanket of snow for over two weeks now. Npt a single blade of the green stuff to be seen.
Temperatures of minus 20c forecast for our area by the end of the week.

Only the fittest will survive this winter.
