Chance encounter

After a very late lunch we set off for a late afternoon/evening stroll in an area we had not visited before. It was a delightful evening, following the course of a river until it met with the Rhine on an oxbow bend. After a refreshing drink and a taste of perfectly cooked fresh fish we continued our walk higher up the hillside through the vineyards. Then we came across a very helpful man who showed us the short-cut back to the car through the old castle which had been in his family for well over a hundred years. The dogs were enjoying themselves too!
