Liverpool

Tonight I am on Liverpool preparing to commentate at the inaugural Rock n Roll marathon and half marathon.

The event has attracted over 7000 competitors and promises to be spectacular.

The concept has been going in the US for a number of years.

What better place to start in the UK but the UK home of Rock n Roll, Liverpool.

At every mile there is a stage with live music throughout the day.

Now organising either a Marathon or a rock concert is hard work. To put bit on at the same time is very special.

The crews setting up all the staging and the start/finish areas have been soaked by very heavy rain most of the day.

But as you can see it has turned out to be a very pleasant evening.
