Medals well earned

I'm home.

I'm tired, my voice has almost gone, and I am exhilarated.

These are the medals that were specially struck for the Rock n Roll marathon and half marathon in Liverpool today.

It has again been my pleasure and privilege to commentate on the finish line.

So many brilliant performances and so many wonderful stories.

I had the honour of bringing home a friend as he won the marathon. I got a feeling of what it must have been like for Steve Cram to bring Mo Farah home at the Olympics. Priceless.

Must get to bed. It's another daft o'clock start in the morning to go Glasgow for Clydesider (volunteer) training.
