Cam

After dropping Cameron off at the golf course I went for a short walk along the canal today.

This was the Forth and Clyde Canal. Unlike the Union Canal, the Forth and Clyde Canal has locks on it, to let boats go up and down hills. And there's quite a bit of engineering in these locks.

And so that's what led to today's picture - a cam on the lock mechanism. Something simple, yet instantly elegant.
