Occa..
..the tubers pictured here, were grown on in pots, and then transplanted out on the croft about three weeks ago. They've now developed into nice little plants.
After yesterdays rain, we've had a cold N wind, and mostly overcast with periods of light rain. Not inspiring. After breakfast we took glass to be recycled, called in at the hall to vote (I do hope you've all made the effort to vote), called in at the Doctors house with eggs that we should have delivered yesterday, had a look at the manure pile that's still to be moved from the farm, had a look at the veg beds at the lodge (onions, carrots and beetroot are all through now and developing), had a look at the "lower" croft (again sowings are now showing through, and a few potatoes are also up). And then onto the beach with Tanni.
This afternoon, split up and planted in the polytunnel, a tray of lettuce. I'm trying to grow loads of lettuce for the hotel and restaurant, but my seedlings aren't developing quick enough, so bought a tray of "cut and come again" salad from a well known German store for 89p. This provided around 100 nice plants!
Then in the shed to rip out some more old pointing ready to re-point. If I spent three days in there I'd have all the insides done, nearly..
Mum's had a better day today and sounded livelier when I called her..
