Inchnadamph..

Chores, and then down to Inverness to pick G up. Great to have her back home again. It seems like we've been apart for ever..

It's been wet all day. Did some shopping, tea and coffee in the garden centre (with my free drinks tokens).

The rivers and streams on the way back were gushing with brown peaty water off the hills. We stopped several times to get pics, have a short walk, get wet, and back into the car. Stopped at Ullapool for tea, and the pub had no beer. OK, it did have keg beers, but no real ale. Was told the Guinness is good. I said that drinking keg beer was akin to a malt whisky lover being offered Bells or Teachers!

Coming past Inchnadamph, spotted the scree slope running with water, something I've only seen a couple of times before.. These hills are limestone and riddled with underground streams and cave systems, and during heavy rain, streams appear where it is normally bone dry. This face always reminds me of an Indiana Jones movie.

Some of the cave systems have curious names. Perhaps the most unusual is ANUS. Allt nan uamh system (river of the cave)!!

Music..
