Juliet Stevenson checks the selfie!

I went back to Lyme Park today to do some celebrity stalking. They were filming The Village ready for the autumn drama season. I got there a couple of hours before Chrissie but it was great just sitting in the glorious sunshine and watching them film. They did take after take of the same scene from different angles. I spoke to a woman who was liaison between film crew and the House and she said that the Director and the main camera woman were young and fairly inexperienced...they also were very into arty farty shots so they took forever on a piece of filming that will probably last seconds on the screen.

I didn't watch the first series but I will definitely have to catch it now. I had hoped to see Maxine Peake today but of course she is part of the poor family and they were filming in Chapel-en-le-Frith. It was Juliet Stevenson who was the star of the day...with all the posh folk from the 'Big House'. She started the day in a gorgeous green dress and then changed into an aubergine one for the wedding scene, she did look fabulous. All the costumes were amazing and so beautiful in their styles and colours. They filmed a wedding party in the afternoon, so we need to watch out for that!

When they left for lunch, Chrissie and I bought a sandwich and had a picnic on the lawn...so very civilised. I've been in the sun all day and I need to apply some aftersun tonight.
