And They're Off

Today my husband and his running partner Carley did the local Baddow 10 mile run. I really should have entered the 2 mile fun run, but when they were entering my every intention was to be cheering them on. I'm glad I didn't enter in a way as it was so incredibly hot for any kind of running. Although when they were running around I did think at one point I'd like to do that!

They did really well considering the heat. They had to stop at one point to help a lady who had collapsed and banged her head. She didn't know where she was poor thing. They helped until medical help arrived. As they started off again they passed yet another...this time a man in the recovery position...he was being helped.

As a supporter I walked around quite a bit of the course cheering them on at various points. It was quite a good course for that. Then I got to the finishing line to cheer them in.

They were really pleased with themselves. Husband and I have the Westminster Mile on Saturday and he has another 10k on Sunday.

After the run we all went out for dinner together. Then it was home and a lazy afternoon around the pool. The pools not ready yet as it's full of chemicals, but it will be up and running very soon.

I'm a bit rubbish on here at the moment...life gets in the way sometimes!
