Forager

The squirrels are also happy that I'm back, I'm sure - the feeders are full and there are a couple of fat balls to nibble on.

Fred managed to find his way to Brighton today despite rail replacement buses, trains being diverted to Point Z via Points Q, B and K, and mad traffic holding up the rail replacement bus to the point where the driver turned off the engine to sit it out. Chronic.

Back at home, I had fun making beetroot and orange soup with the guinea pigs running around my feet asking for tidbits - they love beetroot, but they're only allowed a little. It's probably fine, but they don't have it often so could have a stomach upset if they have too much of a good thing. Whisky stayed asleep on the bed. A little later on, I visited the cemetery with a pair of scissors and a plastic bag. The grass in the garden is nowhere near grazing standard and the cemetery has fantastically long grass and no guinea pigs. So, to address the balance, thank you Thomas Talfourd and Katti Lanner for the grass that the gps have already eaten up. Why a graveyard you may ask? No dogs allowed and so the grass is as good as the back garden (though I know foxes, birds, etc. all pee and poo, too, but the dog stuff is deemed the worst).

An evening of soup, curled-up cat and 'The Empire Strikes Back'. Super!

Rodents spotted on blip today:

It seems they were all after the food today.
