The Big Chill

Another very cold day today, in fact, we been told it's now officially the coldest period in The Glen since 1985, so it's been more snow and another big frost.

..but on the plus side we've found the source of water problems. I took a peek into the loft last night and discovered the tank was partially frozen and one of the exit pipes wasn't insulated so we put a blow heater up than and, lo and behold, two hours later crash, bang, wallop, the ice had shifted and the water ran free. We did have a bit of a leak but fortunately nothing major.

...and the rest of the day? Well, our neighbour Christine popped over for a natter and a cup of tea, in fact she's sitting opposite us at the moment eating a piece of Christmas cake.
