Lady in Red

Today I met up with a friend from South Africa who is currently on holiday in Europe with her partner. I first met Tracey about 20 years ago when I recruited her to work at the auditing and accounting firm where I was working - she was fresh out of university and bright, enthusiastic and very ambitious. Today, all these years later, she still looks the same, is a mother of two children and has a very successful career. We met at a lovely restaurant for lunch near Gavin's office as he also joined us. This is a quick snap of Tracey at lunch - always embarrassing bringing out the big camera in the middle of a restaurant with the other diners looking on....

This evening it is Thomas's final music concert at his school. The leavers who are musicians perform solo pieces, and there will also be performances from the school orchestra and choir. Thomas is playing Hubeau's trumpet sonata which is one of his grade 8 pieces so he has been practicing the piece for some time. It is rather sad that after so many years of these termly concerts this will be his very last one.
