John's grave at Fanora.
Dear Diary,
I visited John's grave in the seaside village of Fanora where he was born and where he now rests in peace surrounded by his lovely Burren hills. It also would have been my late husbands 64th birthday. How he would have love this area. They both died so young. John always said that we can never know how close our feet are to the edge. We must just live each day fully, with wonder and deep gratitude. I learned, this morning, of the death of a colleague from my days of teaching in a tragic accident. It seemed to underscore the theme of this day.
"Your soul knows the geography of your destiny...it will take you where you need to go. but more important, it will teach you a kindness of rhythm in your journey." - John O'Donohue
A day of memories and lives cut way too short...
