Prized Possession

We where busy eating dinner when Mr. Fun stated, "Hey, I brought home one of my prized possessions from the office today." He got up from his dining room chair, walked over to the bag of things he had brought in with him, and then pulled out this photo of the two of us.

Currently Mr. Fun is cleaning out his office because we are on the on-ramp to retirement. Well, he actually is retiring. I will in several years, but I get lots more time off every year than he does, so we decided that it is time for him/for us to enter the next chapter of our lives. So I'm extremely excited. He is too.

The photo was taken 12 years ago in February 2002. Our friends, Roy & Linda, took the photo at their anniversary party and then in December of that year, they framed it and gifted us with it.

It does me good to see this picture because we were living through an extremely difficult and sad season in our lives when this was taken, and thankfully the photo doesn't seem to capture that sentiment.

I guess I should take it out of the frame, scan it, and then truly do a backdated blip of it.

We've had high heavy winds all day.
