Dog whelks and barnacles

It’s Masterchef finals week. Maybe one of the contestants will say they’re cooking John and Greg a plate of dog whelks and barnacles, done three ways.
This encrusted brace of posts can be found on the beach at Alnmouth, a beautiful spot and we picked a beautiful day to visit. So spring-like I even went without a coat (still wearing a jumper though...).
