Barely visible through yet another snow storm are some of our hens hiding under the tree. They are Black Rocks and they are tough birds ideal for cold and wet Scottish conditions.

I missed a good photo opportunity when I nipped out this morning and saw a big orange moon low on the horizon, but by the time the telescope and camera were set up it had sunk below a bank of cloud and that was the last I saw of it. Ah well.........

Steak pie, roast potatoes and carrots tonight with a fruit salad for dessert.
