The Loony Dook

"Loony" short for lunatic and "Dook" a Lowland Scots word for swim, is an annual event on the 1st day of the year when up to 800 hardy souls go for a 'dook' in the River Forth. It was particularly impressive today given that the air temperature was only at 1degree celcius. A good deal of money is raised for charity and a good time is had by all!

Wrapped up warm I came to the conclusion that it disnae count unless you 'dook' yersel' completely.
