Exam hair

We spent some time this morning at our neighbours' house as our internet has been off for a week. Thankfully in that time I managed to get it sorted. Katie had a great time playing with her friends' toys. We did a lot of reading this morning in bed before we went; she's so keen to do this and is surprising me with how she's soaking it up.

After lunch she wanted to get ready for ballet. It's exams on Saturday so we had a hair trial again- hair is always in a tidy bun but for show/exam hair we use a mini doughnut and a huge amount more gel. Even then the curls and fluffy hair still attempts to rebel!!

It was a wellibobs and puddlesuit kind of afternoon, which she loves. We tried to do a couple of jobs in town although we were unsuccessful. We were early to ballet as it was open day so we helped get organised. It was bordering on chaos getting the right children to the right studio in the right shoes; they were splitting into more studios then usual and there were more children than usual with it being last class before exams. Katie and her little friend just twirled away in one of the studios while they waited, with Katie leading a game of follow the leader ballet-style. I saw some of her dances. She's very ready for her exam, little poppet. She also joined in with the next class' first modern dance after their exam work and was beaming away. Until she realised a lot of the mummies were smiling/chuckling at her dancing with the big girls. She got very shy and ran back to me to hide in my cardi!
