Caterpillar

Last week these smartly dressed little caterpillars started appearing in the sand dunes. They have been a potential blip for a while, but this afternoons showers gave these fury coats an extra sparkle. It didn't seem to worry them but I bet they wish they could shake the water from their backs like a dog.

I have no idea what type of butterfly/moth they will turn into, but if their caterpillar is anything to go by, they are going to be smart.
