New adventures on the Island of Borocay!
HELLO :-)
Ok so this weekend we went to Boracay Island (i keep spelling it wrong so forgive me). I have to say it was one of the best weekends of my life!
It took us about 4 1/2ish hours to get there by van, boat and a jigbe type van thing. We arrived and like any typical island we were treated to white sands and clear blue seas it was stunning! It was like walking into a James Bond film.
Our hotel was on the beach... literally, and we had the poshest rooms of the entire hotel, with aircon and a balcony overlooking the sea! We had our first cocktails within minutes of walking into the hotel entrance and i personally thought #lovinglife right now haha.
We explored the beach and had a chill out in the sea. There were dj's on the beach and music coming from the bars and restaurants so you could dance in the sea it was great.
That evening we had dinner at a Mexican restaurant and made the waiter extend the happy hour so we could get 2 for 1 on cocktails which meant we all got 4 (don't panic grandma they weren't that strong). We had fajitas and grande nachos which were huge and so goooood! After dinner we were all rather jolly so we danced back to the main part of the beach and boogied the night away, making loads of phillipino friends and ending the night having a little skinny dip in the sea. This has been a bucket list life goal all my life so extremely liberatingly brilliant to tick off! It was an amazing evening!
On the Friday we were all quite fragile so had a really chilled day sunbathing and swimming in our little cove bit right next to the hotel under the palm trees. Some philipino tourists wanted to have their photo taken with us as part of their "team building exercises" which was quite odd...
Anyway in the evening we walked to the restaurant soaking in the atmosphere and the Sun setting behind us; it was really beautiful. We had dinner on the beach, i embraced the philipino culture by having a Hawaiian pizza woo! In my defence it was probably the best pizza I've ever had so i had to try it obviously... haha.
We then did the same as the night before and had a boogie this time though in the rain which was simply brilliant!
On our last day we had a cheeky massage on the beach; my lady took "whole body massage" to another level might as well have been as dressed as i was when i was born! But it was very nice and relaxing haha.
We decided to have greek food in the evening which was so yummy but we all felt like we had food triplets after so it was a quiet night after that, leisurely walking back and enjoying the night life.
Its been a fantastic weekend made even better by the wonderful friends I've made; thus the reason for the photo I've put up with this blog. I'll take home so many memories :-)
Hope this has been a good read!
Love y'all
Helly Smelly
