Corn Exchange, Bridgwater

The Corn Exchange and market house in Bridgwater dates back to 1834. These days the front part you can see here houses a branch of Prezzos, the pasta & pizza restaurant chain, but there are still some small stalls in the area behind this domed part of the building. As you can see, it was a quiet Sunday in Bridgwater.

We'd just enjoyed lunch in the nearby pub and, as I was taking this, a voice behind me asked if I had a photography permit for the area. I turned round to see my friend and erstwhile walking partner, Roger, who was sitting outside a cafe having a coffee with his eldest son Sam, having driven over from their home in Yeovil for a wander round. We basked in the sun and had a chat while Tess & our daughter Kate indulged in some retail therapy.

We paid our first visit to the open air pool this morning so it's been a very relaxing Sunday.
