Farewell To The Championship

In the end, Yeovil went with more of a whimper than a bang: 3 defensive mistakes either side of half time led to 3 well-taken Middlesborough goals, just when we'd managed to equalise at 1 - 1. A shame as there haven't been too many games where we've been well beaten, but this was one of them. Overall we've given a good account of ourselves and enjoyed our season at these dizzy heights.

It's uncertain how many of the players taking a "lap of appreciation" before the fans will be back next season; suspect some of the best will attract the interest of Championship clubs, while manager Gary Johnson has hinted that some others might not be retained.
