Christmas 2009

We went fairly early to Andre and Carien's place at Diaz Strand. The kids, Andre Jnr, Sune and Riani showed off their gifts while of we did the last trimmings and preparations for the Chistmas feast.

Philip, Helene, Linkie and Niel joined us: it was a beautiful hot, sunny day, almost too hot. We enjoyed the hospitality and good company, and before long it was time to savour the lovely food put before us.

Outside on the stoep the tables were festively laid, and soon everybody had a lovely plate of cold meats and salads with suitable sauces and mustards to enhance the gammon, leg of lamb, chicken and beef tongue.

It was good, but better still was the company! Andre pulled out a few funny stories that had us in stitches. He is an excellent story teller!

On our way back, close to the George Airport, I blipped the newly erected signal tower.
I may add that this effort was a P&S at 120km/h+ with Hooligan lying on my lap.

What a lovely day!
