On the Inside Looking Out

If you watch the BBC 6 O'Clock or 10 O'Clock News, you will know what this view looks like from the outside.

This afternoon I was stuck on the inside looking out at sunshine and blue sky. I wandered into the shiny new bit of the building to buy a hot chocolate, and stopped for a few moments to admire this view from Broadcasting House towards All Souls' Church and Regent Street beyond.

The original 1930's Old Broadcasting House is on the right and the new Peel Wing (named after the late and much-missed John Peel) is on the left. In between is The World Piazza, inset with hundreds of brass place-names from around the globe, and sprinkled with dozens of twinkling stars after dark.
