Cake, and a bus adventure
Expecting some deliveries this week sometime (doggy stuff and table and chairs for outside, ready for warm evenings!) so popped into town to use up this month’s free coffee and cake voucher from John Lewis.
Once again, I had a big slab of delicious looking chocolate cake, which turned out to be not quite so delicious. Glad I didn’t pay for it!
Popped into one of my favourite shops - where everything costs £1. Got a few hundred more doggy poop bags - I should have enough for the first year now - and also a wee blanket with paw prints on. Millie will like it. Oh, and some Chocolate Buttons accidentally fell in my basket in lieu of the yummy licorice, which I could not find.
I had wander through town, via the station, and as I awaited my bus, I decided to go on to the Vet nearest home and check out any deals or offers if we use them for Millie. As my bus came round the corner, I stood at the kerb and an old man and I had a ‘You first...’ ‘No, you first...’ moment or two.
However, my plans changed as the bus took a different route.
Perhaps the road is blocked off...
I looked around, and saw no panic stricken faces. Indeed, when the bus stopped at unfamiliar stops, and people casually got on, I began to doubt that it was indeed the bus that I thought it was... But I didn’t want to ask in case they thought I was a doddery old biddy who shouldn’t be allowed out on her own.
However, when it suddenly took a turn well away from familiar territory, I rang the bell and got off, casually looking back at the bus number. Yes. Wrong one. How on earth did that happen??
So I just came home, and spent the afternoon dozing in front of watching You Tube videos on ‘How to train your puppy’ and ‘How to groom your schnauzer’. If you do it through the TV, the videos just keep coming. Forever.
The station wasn't very busy, it being mid-morning. So I just framed up wee scenes. I spotted the two men carrying a big poster, heading towards the hi-viz gossipers. Blip.
