Diary of an Edinburgher

Schnauzer fun!

Off to the other side of town this morning for a cuppa with an ex-colleague and then to a meeting with a Schnauzer breeder. Unfortunately, nobody told us there was a Fun Run in town and all the streets were blocked off, so we had a rather roundabout route and consequently were running late, which I hate.

However, we got there, and had homemade meringues. Yum yum. Caught up with all the goings on at (my ex-)school, and thanked my lucky stars (again) that I am Out Of It All!! Those teachers (and Classroom Assistants) at tough schools need to be Paid More!

We found the dog breeder without too much trouble. She had four schnauzers (or was it five?) in the house. We met the two prospective parents of the pups to be due in the autumn, but too late for us - we wanted a spring puppy.

However, we got lots of tips and had a good chat. And she knows someone else who is getting one of Millie’s siblings, so she’s put us in touch with them!

Back home and reading more bumph and info about puppy training. What a responsibility, especially in those first few weeks - you can really screw up your pup and cause lasting harm if you get it wrong. Eeeeek!
