Saturday: Metelkova
We have had a pretty relaxing day. After a leisurely start, we went for a walk through town to have a look at Metelkova. It is a the former Slovenian headquarters of the Yugoslav National Army and became a squat in 1993. Now it is a complex of bars, artists communities, art galleries etc. I am glad we went by day - it looked like it had the potential to be a pretty heady place at night.
This evening we were walking through town when we were accosted by a young man dressed in a bunny outfit. He was holding a basket full of hard boiled eggs - it turn out that he was on his stag do and his friends were only going to let him get changed into his normal clothes once he had sold the eggs at 1 EUR an egg. Naturally, we bought one, but only one as we didn't want to make it too easy for him.
Mustn't forget that I have a hard boiled egg in my bag.......
