Sunday: Empty Chair
We left Ljubljana in relatively good time, and after a relaxing start to the day. We have been staying in a very nice house - it belongs to my office and is currently empty so we had the benefit. Very nice......and completely impractical. There were three kitchens (yes, three) and not one of them was near the dining room. As an example, we had to boil eggs in what would equate to the West Wing and then carry them all the way through the house to the dining room.

After taking far too long I am pleased to report that I have finally finished 'The Grocer's Daughter' - the first part of a two part biography of Margaret Thatcher by John Campbell. Whatever your view of her, it made for a fascinating read - there were times I actually felt quite sorry for her in the early years - let's see if I feel the same way once I embark on part 2 (not quite yet, though).
