New Hat

It's getting too warm now to wear headscarves but I'm not yet brave enough to venture out without some form of head covering. I decided, therefore, to invest in a new sun hat, preferably one that I can wear all the time, ie indoors at work, at my desk without looking too stupid.

We have three clothes shops in town. Peacocks had one style of hat available but it had a huge floppy brim which was impractical. Dorothy Perkins didn't have any. Bon Marché had two styles; another huge floppy brim and this one. It's a nice, neat style with a discreet brim and as soon as I put it on my husband said "That's you". So I bought it.

I'm not convinced that it'll be appropriate to wear it around the office but they know me well enough at work to let me get away with it.

Incidentally, straw hats are not made of straw. The label inside this one says it's 100% paper.
