New Mobile
The battery in my old mobile is kaput. At most, I can only send a couple of texts before it expires. My family are agreed that I must have a reliable phone so rather than simply replace the battery, I decided to buy a complete new phone.
I live in a very small, inadequate town. Basically, if you can't buy it in Tesco or Argos, you go without and as I've boycotted Tesco, I had to resort to Argos. (I'm weaning myself off my Amazon habit.)
I looked online last night and found a phone which I thought would be OK. It was under £40 and I reserved it for collection today. Then I made the mistake of telling my younger son what I was up. He immediately dismissed the phone as rubbish. If I was going to have a touch screen phone, Nokia was the way to go. He chose this one for me.
It's a 3G phone, powered by Windows 8. It has pre-loaded apps; it'll stream songs and has Bluetooth. What does all this mean? And it goes without saying that it was considerably more than the £40 I was willing to spend in the first place.
The camera looks good though....
